Bankruptcy - Creditors

The United States bankruptcy code makes provision for creditors to be treated fairly and equitably. At the same time, there are serious sanctions for creditors who take unauthorized actions against a debtor who has filed for bankruptcy protection. Creditors need representation to assure their rights are protected in the bankruptcy process without violating the law. Some creditors need help assuring fair treatment of their claims. Other need to defend preference actions by trustees to get money they were paid before the bankruptcy case was filed. Irwin Kuhn is experienced representing creditors in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Tennessee in Nashville and Columbia.
