Private/Employer Provided Long Term Disability Denials/Terminations

Some employers provide short and long term disability plans as a benefit. Some plans are occupation specific while other plans, similar to Social Security Disability, only provide coverage if an employee becomes disabled from all work. Private disability plans provide for an appeal process and a lawsuit may be filed to challenge claims denials in federal court under ERISA.
